Event Highlights for Galena Christmas 2025

Holiday Kickoff! – Nov 29, 5pm to 7pm.
Santa and Mrs. Claus arrive by sleigh, escorted by the lighted, holiday-themed, Jeep Jingle parade and Galena Civil War Generals. Enjoy holiday cheer, meet Santa, then gather at the Old Market House for the annual tree lighting.

Galena Holidaze Festival – Dec 6, 11am to 6pm.
A family-friendly event featuring traveling local craft and food vendors, Christmas music, caroling, raffle,  ice skating rink, and more!

Holiday Fire in the Sky – Dec 6, 6:30pm to 7pm.
Watch as the evening sky comes alive with a spectacular, holiday fireworks display to kick off the Christmas in Galena.

Dark Side of the Yule with Classical Blast – Dec 12, 7pm to 9pm.
Classical Blast melds classic rock with traditional Christmas songs for an exhilarating holiday concert. Featuring guest musicians, storytelling and unforgettable music.

Night of the Luminaria & Living Windows – Dec 13, 4pm to 9pm.
Galena becomes a land of enchantment on this magical night with more than 5,000 candlelit luminaries on the streets and  holiday-inspired, Living Windows in the stores on Main Street. If you can only catch one holiday event in Galena, this is the one to see.

Snowflakes & Sweets Stroll – Dec 20, 12pm to 4pm.
Purchase a punch card and enjoy special holiday cookies, candies, and drinks – including some boozy options – from local makers while strolling Galena’s Main Street. Tickets are limited and often sell out prior to the event, so don’t hesitate!
