Elopements at Hawk Valley Retreat
Since we took over Hawk Valley Retreat and Cottages in February 2020, we have hosted over 25 elopements and intimate weddings. The ceremonies have been held outside by our willow or in front of the pond, in the gazebo, in front of the fireplace in the main house, and in the Cording Event Barn. We have done everything from traditional elopements with just the happy couple to whole property rentals where the entire family spent the weekend at Hawk Valley.
All these elopements have earned us some accolades along the way. We are honored to have been selected as “The Best of Where to Elope” and “Wedding Rule’s Editor’s Choice Award Winner.” But the best thing is the fantastic responses from the couples themselves. Introducing the New Cording Event Barn
Now the Cording Event Barn has been completely renovated. We are so excited to take elopements and intimate weddings at Hawk Valley Retreat and Cottages to the next level. The main floor can host seated dinners for up to 45 people and cocktail-style receptions for up to 65. The ample windows allow expansive views of our property and the surrounding valley. The loft offers a place to sit, chat, and watch what is happening below. The attached deck is the perfect place for a cocktail hour while experiencing the beauty of our retreat.
The new commercial kitchen allows us to put our 70 years of catering ex[erpience to work. We love giving your guests a homemade meal. Choose from our catering menu, including appetizers, buffets, and family-style meals.
When you want to elope in Galena, we have a variety of packages. Make your elopement or intimate wedding the event you have been dreaming of. Our full property rental allows you, along with your family and friends, the property’s exclusive use. This includes our four cottages and 3 rooms—sleeping a total of 14 people.
Our goal with every Elopement and Intimate Wedding is the same. We want you to have the wedding of your dreams and don’t believe in cookie-cutter, one size fits all events. We will work with you to ensure that everything is perfect. From the ceremony, the space, and the entire day. We take care of all the details, so once you arrive all you have to do is enjoy.
